SUMMARY:Jazz Vespers w/ The Heron Qunitet
DESCRIPTION:Join us where jazz meets the spirit in our new sanctuary. Featuring local jazz artists and reflections by our ministers.\nThis week we feature The Heron Quintet\nSunshine Coast residents Karen Graves (tenor, soprano, flute) and Heather Anderson (trumpet) have teamed up to present their newest project, “Heron”. Due to a particularly long commute to Vancouver, they met while on the same gig in 2019 and were eager to create their own sound inspired by the beauty of their surroundings and present playful music that is full of rich harmony and soul.\nThey are excited to be playing classic tenor-trumpet works by Lee Morgan, Michael Brecker, Dave Holland, Kenny Wheeler as well as original compositions.\nBand Members:\nKaren Graves (tenor, soprano, flute)\nHeather Anderson (trumpet)\nShannon Thue (piano)\nConrad Good (bass)\nBernie Arai (drums)\n
