SUMMARY:Jazz Vespers w/ Emmett Martin Hatlelid Quartet – The Emily Dickinson Project
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on Sunday, April 30th at 4pm, where the spirit meets jazz. Featuring the Emmett Martin Hatlelid Quartet – The Emily Dickinson Project\nBand:\nEmmett Martin Hatlelid, vocals\nBrad Shigeta, Trombone\nMiles Black, Piano\nNoah Gotfrit, Bass\n\n\n\n\nEmmett Hatlelid is a jazz vocalist, crooner, and songwriter influenced by singers such as Al Bowlly, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Fred Astaire. Emmett has a love for history, taking pleasure in past pop-culture, with a particular love for the poetry of Emily Dickinson. For this performance, he will step away from his usual traditional jazz repertoire and instead perform six original pieces composed in a traditional jazz style using some of his favorite works by Emily Dickinson. He will be joined by Brad Shigeta on trombone, Miles Black on piano, and Noah Gotfrit on bass.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
