New Public Health Orders- Nov 7, 2020

2020-11-09T11:16:54-08:00November 9th, 2020|

Dr. Henry has issued new public health orders for the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions. The orders require everyone in those communities, with the exception of Bella Coola Valley and Central Coast residents, to limit social interactions, until November 23. That means:

• Socialize only with your immediate household. No parties or get togethers.
• No community-based social gatherings.
• No unnecessary travel. Stay in your local community.

• No receptions for funerals or weddings.

• Indoor group physical activities must stop until new safety plans can be approved by local Medical Health Officers.
• Indoor sports where physical distancing cannot be maintained must be modified.
• Travel for sports into or out of these regions must stop.
Now is the time for everyone living in the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions to double down on the actions we know will allow our schools and businesses to stay open – and keep us safe.

Reopening Update #1

2020-08-27T10:48:46-07:00August 27th, 2020|

We have assembled information from The Provincial Health Officer, the Ministry of Health, WSBC, our insurance company and Pacific Mountain Region for the United Church.  Having read through all of the materials(and it is a lot of reading) and ensured we have a solid strategy for all 4 phases of operations.  This strategy will allow us to follow the lead of the government and Health Officer to flow between phases as needed.

Once the Reopening Team has developed the risk assessment, a plan for each phase of reopening, and have all policies and procedures in place we take the information to the board for approval.  Once the information is approved by the board The lead minister (Dan) and EDO (Diane) then choose when to reopen.  We are currently working through this process with the salons and the office.  We will keep you up to date on our progress.  Stay healthy.
