Too much hustle and bustle?

Sink into a more reflective and contemplative service and get lost in candles, carols, prayer and peace. If you like our regular 7pm Candlelight Contemplative Service, then this is for you! Bring any cares, worries and hopes you carry this season and let them be held in this space…

In the midst of the holiday hustle bustle, we will be offering an hour of quiet serenity through beautiful music, chants, silence, simple readings and shared prayer by gentle candlelight. This year it will be held in St. Paul’s Anglican Church as our sanctuary is under construction.

Many of us, at times, find that feeling “Christmas Cheer” can be a challenge. All around us are images of families and laughter – everyone seems to be having a good time. But maybe there have been difficult and sad changes in your life this past year – the death of a friend, or a loved one; the loss of a job.

Sometimes it’s simply distance from family that makes Christmas a challenging time. Sometimes it’s not even something you can put your finger on – it’s just that the Christmas season gets to you.

This service is an opportunity to acknowledge that Christmas can bring “hard” feelings – being open about this in the context of worship can open up avenues of God’s grace.

All are welcome to this service.
