The Reverend Susan Lukey, B.Ed., M.Div., Th.M, is a mother, educator, editor, and ordained minister in The United Church of Canada. Her engagement with children includes many years of teaching swimming lessons, directing church camps, leading child and youth programs, conducting children’s choirs, leadership and chaplaincy with Scouts Canada, and teaching elementary school. Currently, she serves in full-time ministry with her husband and colleague, David Robertson, at High River United Church, High River, Alberta.  Susan delights in the adventures in faith she has shared with the children, youth, and families in the High River congregation for more than 26 years.  Her greatest adventures have been shared with her two now-adult sons, who have graciously allowed some of their stories to be shared in her book and in her workshops.

We want to share our faith with our children, but we face challenges with just how to do that in a world that has increasing demands and more times of separation.  This evening will offer practical, intelligent, loving, spirit-filled approaches, rooted in the joy and radical love of the Christian faith as well as in the Neufeld developmental psychology paradigm.  Susan will invite you into the adventure of nurturing faith within our own families as well as within the faith family of the congregation.
