Going on A Pilgrimage

An Adult faith Formation Programme As we prepare for the departure from our sanctuary, it will be important not to simply see this coming year and half as “time out.”  Instead, we invite you to understand it as a pilgrimage, which means that our time “away” carries intent and purpose and can help us grow. Come join with Dan and Gary, in the Salons, as we explore various dimensions of this pilgrimage for the four Wednesdays in November:  one session in the afternoon, 2 – 4 pm; a repeat session in the evening, 7-9 pm.
  • Nov 7    – Departure: getting ready; what do we leave behind, what’s essential; purpose and hope
  • Nov 14 – The Journey (with Janet Gear sharing some of her insights from walking The Camino) What or who might we discover?  What temptations will we face?  Where is God In the journey?
  • Nov 21 – Getting Lost.. feeling discouraged; new insights; what is it like to live “on the move”?
  • Nov 28 – How will we be changed?
The sermons of the preceding Sunday will also be focusing on various aspects of pilgrimage and will feed into the Wednesday presentations and discussion.
