Pianist/singer Luke Sandford grew up in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, where he studied classical music with Martha Reuter. He has played professionally in Vancouver, Montreal, Barcelona, Berlin, London and New York, where he performed in the piano bars for many years. His debut recording, “Shimmer”, was released in 2000, followed by “Echoes” in 2010. His more recent original releases, “Lukejazz” and “Lukerock”, were recorded during lockdown in 2020-2021 and feature contributions by leading session musicians from New York, London, Barcelona and Tel Aviv. Luke is known for his wide-ranging blend of jazz standards, show tunes and classic pop/rock. His music and videos are now available on YouTube, Spotify and other streaming services.
