Our Instruments

St. Andrew’s-Wesley is home to two remarkable instruments: a historic Casavant Frères pipe organ and a fine “Heirloom” Steinway concert grand piano.
The pipe organ is one of British Columbia’s largest and most prominent. Its history reaches back to a Casavant organ built in 1910, which was relocated and enlarged for the opening of St. Andrew’s-Wesley in 1933. With 72 stops and 73 ranks, it can move from quiet, intimate colours to the full grandeur of the instrument.
The Steinway concert grand brings a different kind of presence to the sanctuary and is regularly heard in concerts, recitals, choral accompaniment and collaborations with guest artists.
Together, these instruments are an important part of the musical life of St. Andrew’s-Wesley, shaping worship, performance and special events throughout the year.
Music in the Heart of the City
Music in the Heart of the City brings people together through choirs, music programs, and live performances open to the wider Vancouver community. These programs are not faith-based, and you don’t need to be part of St. Andrew’s-Wesley or any faith community to participate.
