Mae Runions will be talking about her decades long career of liturgical fabric art. She will show images of the artwork and talk about the symbolism. Mae uses images symbolically to open up ancient faith stories and awaken fresh responses in the spirit. Her work largely draws on imagery taken from the natural world to draw out ancient Christian symbols and events to give a modern joyful expression. As in viewing any work of art, viewers are invited to bring their own experience, imagination, emotions, and memories to yield fresh insights
