Deeply rooted in the Vancouver gypsy – jazz scene for over 20 yrs as the charming and dynamic chanteuse of Vancouver’s Hot Club of Mars, Knight’s musical journey stretches well beyond swing. Recently drawn back to her “soul song” Deanna performs her life-affirming, earth-loving, musical art with a healthy dose of both folk and jazz. Deanna will hit the stage alongside piano man Simon Kendall (Doug and the Slugs) and cellist Finn Manniche (Van Django) Her musical theatre roots shine through with an undeniable passion for melody and lyric. She has the rare ability to dive deep into your heart and mind …not only leaving you with chills but also thoughts of love, blessings, hope and healing.
