Dave Sikula is a guitarist, teacher, audio engineer and producer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since completing his undergraduate degree in Jazz Performance at the University of Toronto in 2002, Dave has worked in multiple facets of music ranging from live performance and teaching to audio engineering and production work in recording studios. With over thirty years of experience as a professional musician, Dave has established himself in the Vancouver jazz scene playing with legendary musicians such as Dr. Lonnie Smith, Brian Charette, Hadley Caliman, and Ian Hendrickson-Smith as well as many established Canadian artists such as Phil Dwyer, Cory Weeds, Jennifer Scott, and many more. In addition to his work as a guitarist and audio engineer, Dave is also the curator of an ongoing, semi-weekly live jazz series at 2nd Floor Gastown (located on the second floor of the Water Street Café in downtown Vancouver) which consistently hosts musicians ranging from Vancouver’s most established professionals to the city’s young and up and coming talent year-round.
Nino DiPasquale is a professional drummer based in Vancouver, Canada. He maintains a busy schedule performing a wide variety of musical styles, including jazz, blues, rock, pop, and funk. In addition, Nino has played on numerous recordings, and has toured throughout Canada and the US.
Rene Worst, an internationally known and well respected bass player, has established himself as one of the most influential and leading jazz voices in North America for several decades. He attended the UBC School of Music and Douglas College jazz program and was voted Bassist of the Year by the BC CARAS Tribute to West Coast Music for the 4 years that the awards were given. Rene was co-leader of the now-legendary fusion band Skywalk with six CD’s to their credit. He has toured Canada with jazz legends Chet Baker, Gene Bertoncini and Joe Pass and on the international scene, has toured the former Soviet Union with Paul Horn. He is also the bassist with Brazilian band Novo Tempo and multi-disciplinary ensemble Crossing Borders, both bands having toured extensively throughout the US & Canada; he is a virtuoso on both string and electric basses. Rene Worst has recorded and performed with numerous jazz greats, including Jack Sheldon, Tommy Banks, Herb Ellis, Freddie Hubbard, Ernestine Anderson, John Faddis, Don Thompson to name a few and has recorded and produced 7 CDs for musical partner, Jennifer Scott, one of the top jazz artists in Canada.
Bill Costin is a professional pianist, musical director, composer, arranger, and instructor living in Vancouver. A pianist trained in classical and jazz, he plays performances accompanying singers, musical theatre, cabarets, jazz combos, dance concerts, audition sessions, classical duets, trios, and solo piano. He has accompanied Michael Buble, Dal Richards, Jim Byrnes, Tom Pickett, Jennifer Bishop, Beverley Elliott, Tom Arntzen, Linda Kidder, Marcus Mosely, Ann Mortifee, Denis Simpson, Gillian Campbell, Ruth Nichol, Cailin Stadnyk, Azuure Joffre, David Marr, Sibel Thrasher, Jay Brazeau, and Laurie Murdoch. His students have been Juno award winner Christine Jensen, Mike Norman, Lee Worden, and many others. He was Jazz Piano Instructor at Vancouver Island University for 25 years.
