Deeply rooted in the Vancouver gypsy – jazz scene for over 20 yrs as the charming and dynamic chanteuse of Vancouver’s Hot Club of Mars, Knight’s musical journey stretches well beyond swing. Recently drawn back to her “soul song” Deanna performs her life-affirming, earth-loving, musical art with a healthy dose of both folk and jazz. Deanna will hit the stage alongside piano man Simon Kendall (Doug and the Slugs) and cellist Finn Manniche (Van Django) Her musical theatre roots shine through with an undeniable passion for melody and lyric. She has the rare ability to dive deep into your heart and mind …not only leaving you with chills but also thoughts of love, blessings, hope and healing….and perhaps a giggle or two.

I Am Somebody is the inspiring story about six street-connected children who are chosen to represent their country at the Street Child World Cup in Qatar. Some of them are from the streets of Brazil and Bangladesh, some come from poor families in Pakistan and another is from a refugee camp in Palestine. But there is one thing that all these children have in common: their lives will change forever when they participate in the Street Child World Cup.
