Roots and Herbs is a hard-bop jazz band that plays the music of the Jazz Messengers. They focus on compositions from Wayne Shorter, Curtis Fuller, and Freddie Hubbard. The musicians from Roots and Herbs are established members of the Vancouver jazz community.
