About the West End Children’s Choir

The West End Children’s Choir is a community initiative that aims to create a welcoming and safe place for children to develop their musical skills within a caring community. Through singing together, musical games, and performances, children can build their confidence, rhythmic ability, sense of pitch, diction, memory, and love of music. There are two groups within the West End Children’s Choir to meet the needs of all young singers. Though St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church sponsors the West End Children’s Choir, the choir is not a religious group.

The West End Children’s Choir is team-led by three experienced musical educators. We will meet most Thursday evenings until June, with a break in December.  Our season will feature 3 or 4 performance opportunities.

Age Groups

**New for this season, we are introducing “Musical Friends,” a choir and musical playtime for children in grades two and under. This group will meet for 30 minutes at 5:30. For children grades three and above, we will focus on choral music and vocal development (name of this group TBD). This group will meet from 6:00 – 6:45 PM. The two groups will come together to learn joint music for performances.
