Combining Vancouver’s best jazz music with meditations on faith and life, this 4pm service is Canada’s longest running Jazz Vespers, established in 1993.

What is Jazz Vespers?
Like the music itself, jazz vespers is a fusion of musical and spiritual traditions that came together in the 1960’s to create an alternative form of worship that draws upon the diverse range of musics called jazz and an array of spiritual traditions that are grounded in Christianity. Jazz vespers is neither a concert nor a typical service of worship, rather it represents something that is both and neither, defying labels and convention just like the art form from which it draws its name.
