Our ongoing Reconciliation Action Plan

Reconciliation

Our reconciliation work is integrated and woven into every facet of St. Andrew’s-Wesley. This isn’t a one-off for us, it is something we commit to as individuals, and as a community. We strive to walk the talk and are willing to get uncomfortable, make mistakes, take risks, learn as we go, and share our progress with you.

We’re committed to authentic actions that invite conversation

Our Reconciliation Action Plan focuses on living out our apologies and committing to public, authentic actions that invite conversation. As a visible legacy of this work, we engage where possible through preaching and education, partnering with Indigenous communities, uplifting Indigenous artists, and developing funding for reconciliation projects.

We recently engaged Squamish Nation master carver and distinguished artist, Xwalacktun, to take part in our Artivism series and create a House Post for our lobby. It was an honour to listen and learn from Xwalacktun and we are grateful for his contributions to our community.
