Time

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us on Sunday, June 12th at 4pm, where the spirit meets jazz. Featuring LJ Mounteney Quartet.

LJ Mounteney has performed in various areas of the Vancouver music scene over the years, in both the Jazz and Popular genres but has gravitated most recently to Blues and Roots Music. Her love of performing in multiple genres has led her to being the co-lead singer in a relatively new band dedicated to the music of Frank Zappa – Zappostrophé – as well as being a regular guest artist in the Wah’s new Beatles Get Back Unplugged show (which features violinist Cameron Wilson).

LJ’s highly anticipated 14 song sophomore album is being helmed by legendary blues bassist and songwriter Jack Lavin and features a host of acclaimed Western Canadian blues musicians and songwriters including Brandon Isaak, Jerry Cook, Tom Arntzen, Linda Kidder and many more. Mama Danced, which you’ll be hearing today, is an original song co-penned by LJ, Lillooet Fox and Jon Roper and is now available as a single. The full album will be officially released this Fall including vinyl copies!

LJ is delighted to be returning to St. Andrew’s Wesley with three very talented musicians, Ron Thompson on guitar, Nathen Aswell, on bass and Kristian Braathen on drums.
