Cameron is well into his fifth decade of performing as an electric bassist in all genres from blues to jazz, and is also well-known as a top-notch instructor and clinician. His newest trio draws on the music and traditions of the great piano trios, like those led by Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Chick Corea, as well as more contemporary piano trios that feature electric bass, such as those of Michel Petrucciani and Michel Camillo. Cameron performs on hand-made six-string electric basses built by the great luthier Michael Tobias, and has embraced state-of-the-art digital effects and looping into his stereo bass system; he will also be featuring his newly-acquired Yamaha Electric Upright bass. Cameron will be joined by an absolutely stellar band consisting of the wonderful Michael Creber on piano, and the legendary Buff Allen on drums.
