Please join us 10:30am on Sunday, Nov 16th for a special morning service regarding the crisis in Gaza. Our guest will be Nasser Najjar. Nasser was formerly the Spokesperson and Head of Communications for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza. He had also served as a Production Manager for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), a Researcher for Human Rights Watch, and a freelance news producer and reporter for numerous media outlets from around the world, including USA Today, Almonitor, and the Washington Post. Nasser Najjar is now a hard-working father who lives in West End and is involved in various human rights activities and social justice events. He will speak about his experience and ask for support for his sister, Dr. Lina who remains in Palestine continuing her vital work of healing and caring for her community.
Give
Hunger and suffering are escalating among Palestinians—families are without reliable access to food, clean water, shelter and medical care. The crisis is urgent and the time to act is now.
One direct way to help: A fundraiser set up by Dr. Lina’s brother in support of his sister, an obstetrician-gynecologist who has worked tirelessly caring for pregnant women in Gaza despite losing her home, her colleagues and everything she owned.
Another route: Through the The United Church of Canada “Donate to provide crucial aid to refugees within and outside of Gaza” campaign, which supports urgent relief and refugee aid.
Your gift can supply food, water, medical care, and hope. Please consider donating now.

Behind every call for aid are real families — like Nasser’s and his sister, Dr. Lina, an OB-GYN who has dedicated her life to caring for mothers and newborns in Gaza. Their story reflects both heartbreak and extraordinary resilience in the face of impossible circumstances. Please take a moment to read, share, and keep the conversation alive — awareness is the first step toward change.
