On behalf of the Artist in Residence Team for 2026, we are thrilled to announce this year’s Artist in residence is Blue Sky (settler name James Groening ). Blue Sky has generously shared some of his story in worship in 2024 and 2025 and run two story and art workshops at the church. Blue Sky currently runs the Native Arts Renaissance Gallery in New Westminster, which is a labour of love for him and a dream to provide space for indigenous artists.
