Come celebrate with us on May 26th at 7pm! We are thrilled to be hosting an event that will commemorate the 30th anniversary (1993-2023) of our jazz vespers program! Where has the time even gone?!
This event will be lead by the jazz ministries team of St. Andrew’s-Wesley, with messages from past and present clergy, musicians, and lay-folk who have been involved in this thriving ministry over the last 30 years. Music to be provided by the Diane Lines Trio (Diane Lines, voice and piano, Brent Gubbels on double bass, Buff Allen on drums), in connection with guest-of-honour Jamie Croil (voice, trumpet) who was the previous jazz vespers coordinator of over 14 years and a whole slew of guest artists!
100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly to supporting the St. James Music Academy (https://sjma.ca/contact/), an organization that provides free music lessons to youth in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Wine and cheese reception, and open jazz jam to follow the service.
