The Ultimate Latin Jazz Exploration: This 5-some, each a “seasoned” artist in their own rite, treat us to a most captivating and diverse repertoire. From Brazilian, Afro Latin, and innovative arrangements to Classical Choro and originals. Of interest FJQ (Fran Jaré Quartet) performed at the Fort Langley Jazz Festival July 24 where she scatted an entire solo in one of her originals paying homage to Tania Maria. Berson on sax melds Middle-eastern overtones, Argentinean Tango and jazz improvisation adding to the adventure.
