Jazz Vespers with Dean Thiessen’s Stranger Friends

The Good Samaritan Suite is a musical exploration of the meaning and characters within this well known parable. There are many parallels within this story and to the society we currently find ourselves in. We are living in a time where so many social injustices are brought to our attention and we are being called to change our lives and make sacrifices for the betterment of others. Thad Bailey-Mai, Ben Parker, Wynston Minckler, and Dean Thiessen have performed under the band name ‘Stranger Friends’ for nearly 4 years so this quartet felt like the obvious creative vehicle for Dean to explore this story.
