Jen Cunnings

Jen Cunnings joined the ministerial team at St. Andrew’s-Wesley in 2008. With a passion for creating welcoming spaces of community where all ages learn from and with one another, Jen is a believer that faith is formed through relationship. She has been in ministry with the United Church of Canada since 1992 and has served in congregations around the lower mainland as well as facilitating ministry for regional settings for the church. She is one of the founding members of Camp Spirit, a believer in Godly Play© and is devoted to children and youth being seen as part of the present in the church, not only the future (along with seniors who are not only a part of the past)! She loves engaging and reaching out to our local community through our Parent and Tot program, Parenting Events and Camp Spirit, to name a few. She is committed to encouraging, supporting and celebrating with children, youth and their families as they make a home for their faith, live it and engage it in the world. Jen loves gardening, bike riding, being at the ocean side, riding roller coasters and spending time with those she loves!

I Am Somebody is the inspiring story about six street-connected children who are chosen to represent their country at the Street Child World Cup in Qatar. Some of them are from the streets of Brazil and Bangladesh, some come from poor families in Pakistan and another is from a refugee camp in Palestine. But there is one thing that all these children have in common: their lives will change forever when they participate in the Street Child World Cup.

Featuring Jerry Desvoignes and Duncan Hogg from The One Voice Harmonic Choir (OVHC), healing sound artist Kate Siddall and Michael Streit on oud.

Join us we cultivate a practice of intentional listening, spiritual interpretation, and articulation of physical sensation that is found in music.
